you constantly look back on, making you hard to move forward?
Do you have any old jewellery that you logically want to throw away, but find it difficult to part with every time you pick them up?
Concept
Every relationship, whether it is friendship, love, or family, has a start and end. Is there a way to turn those seemingly useless and outdated objects into symbols of memories? In the whirlpool of flashbacks, can we find an exit that leads to the future, allowing us to move on from the extremes of "complete forgetfulness" or "dwelling in the past"?
The “RE: move on” project, newly launched by Playback Concept, begins with individuals and extends to various corners of the city. Traditionally, people used to dissolve old gold or silver objects and recast them, completely erasing all traces of the past. In this project, our metal-smiths integrate traditional craftsmanship with other technologies, including 3D printing, and photography, to bring forth more possibilities for redesigning old items.
Letting go of regrets, cherishing every moment right now. The past is a testament to what once existed. By embracing the art of metal, we continue to move on just like that coastline that has witnessed two centuries, while inherits the past also greet the unknown future.

Project details
The project select old objects and their stories behind, incorporate the imagination and design from our goldsmith, eventually reassemble them into new forms, giving them new life to accompany people in different ways, or even rediscovering the owner’s direction to start anew.
The redesigned items will be returned to their owners after exhibition.
50% the past of the item + 50% redesign by metal-smith = 100% new life of the item
