  • Currently, Playback offers the following materials:

    1. Jewellery: Mainly sterling silver, copper, 18K gold, platinum, and Mokume Gane.

    2. Metalware: Mainly tin, silver, brass, and aluminum alloy.

    Each material has its own strengths and weaknesses. You can visit the "Materials Introduction" page to learn more and find the material that best suits you.

  • 100% pure tin plates do not contain lead, making them a safe material for tableware as they won't cause poisoning.

    However, if the tin plate is adorned with gold leaf, it is not suitable for use as tableware. If you have any doubts, please consult the instructor during workshop.

    Brass generally contains trace amounts of lead (less than 3%), so brass is not suitable for use as tableware and is better suited for everyday household items.
