A Gift of Necklace to Autumn, Nov 2014
"A Gift of Necklace to Autumn"
I was thinking, what if there’s a necklace appears conceptually but without a concrete object?
In spring, all leaves grow with vitality. Time passes, cycle comes along. In late autumn, the leaves fall one by one. Loneliness is around the few leaves standing still on the tree.
I try to stitch up the bare leaves with needle and thread, tighting the end-to-end to be a necklace. Until the moment of the very last leaf falls, the leaves will fall together, become a real "necklace" but also disappear in the meanwhile.
And then, next year, for sure more leaves will come back in spring.
